Reach Higher Montana has been helping educators plan FAFSA events for more than a decade. At Reach Higher Montana FAFSA Help (formerly College Goal) events, students and parents receive free, one-on-one assistance completing the FAFSA from counselors and other knowledgeable volunteers.
The FAFSA for the 2019-2020 school year will be available October 1, 2018. Income information to complete the FAFSA will come from the 2017 tax return. The change in timing is intended to simplify FAFSA completion and provide families with financial aid information sooner. Be sure to complete and submit the FAFSA by December 1. That’s the priority deadline for most Montana colleges.

The U.S. Department of Education awards about $150 billion a year in grants, work-study funds, and loans. Make sure your students don’t miss out.
