AUG 31	PEO Scholar Award $25,000 scholarship for women pursuing a doctoral degree. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS A woman is eligible for consideration for a PEO Scholar Award if she: Is nominated by a local chapter of the PEO Sisterhood Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the US or Canada at the time of her nomination At a minimum, has a bachelor’s degree Is within two years of her graduation date and has at least one full academic year of work remaining to complete her doctoral -level degree as measured from the time the first award payment is made (August 1). Those in a multiple-degree program (e.g., pursuing both an MD and a PhD) must be within two years of completing the entire program from that date. Is enrolled in her program at an accredited US or Canadian college of university. Study abroad is permitted provided the student is enrolled in a US or Canadian postsecondary institution. Remote learning is permissible. The applications of individuals who satisfy these eligibility criteria will be evaluated on a nondiscriminatory basis without consideration of race, age, national origin, religious affiliation, disability or PEO connection. The Goostree Law Group Bright Futures Scholarship provides one student each semester with the opportunity to receive $2,500. SEP 15	The Gates Scholarship This scholarship is open to outstanding high school seniors from low-income households. Award Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the Student Aid Index, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university. *Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, books, housing, and food, and may include additional personal costs. SEP 15	Waddoups Law Scholarship $1,000 scholarship open to pre-law or first-year law students. Eligibility: A completed resume. A 1–3 page typed essay on a topic of their choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue. A complete copy of their school transcripts. An acceptance letter from a school within the United States. Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card; Social Security cards will not be accepted). SEP 15	Joan and Wesley Buffington Trust Grant - Spring Funding Joan and Wesley Buffington Trust Grant will pay for educational costs for the visually impaired in Montana. Applicants for the Joan and Wesley Buffington Trust Grant will be required to provide the following: The applicant must provide proof of Montana citizenship. The applicant must provide current (within the last 12 months) documentation from a licensed Ophthalmologist or Optometrist testifying to the applicant’s condition as a legally blind, totally blind or visually impaired individual. For these purposes, the Trust recognizes the World Health Organization classifications of these terms: Visually Impaired: having a best corrected visual acuity of 20/60 or worse in the better eye; Legally Blind: having a best corrected visual acuity of 20/200 or worse in the better eye or a visual field of less than 20 degrees. The applicant must demonstrate the intention to pursue educational courses at an accredited college or university or qualified vocational training programs. The applicant is encouraged to provide additional information regarding the specific programs that he/she will pursue and past scholastic records. SEP 28	Uplifting Communities Scholarship $1,500 available to a current college student dedicated to uplifting underserved communities. To be considered a viable candidate for our Fall 2025 Uplifting Communities Scholarship, you must: Show a demonstrated commitment and involvement in uplifting underserved communities through volunteerism and advocacy Be enrolled at and in good academic standing with an accredited college or university Maintain a GPA of at least 2.7 Be at least 17 years of age or older Be a United States citizen or permanent resident Our scholarship can be utilized for a variety of essential educational expenses, including tuition fees, textbooks, and course materials. SEP 30	MSU Billings Scholarship Portal MSU Billings offers scholarship opportunities to registered students via a general application. All degree-seeking MSU Billings students are encouraged to apply for scholarships. To access the General Application, click the yellow “Sign In” button (upper right) and log in with your MSU Billings NetID and password. After you have completed your General Application, the system will automatically match you to all scholarships you are eligible for based on the information you provided. The system may request that you supply additional information or recommend scholarship opportunities for which you may be eligible, however, additional steps must be taken to be considered for those awards. Some scholarships require the applicant to demonstrate financial need; in order to qualify for need-based scholarships you will need to complete the FAFSA for the upcoming academic year. If you are awarded a scholarship you will receive an award notification to your primary email address. If you do not list an email address on your admission application or in your MyInfo account, we cannot guarantee your application will be matched with scholarship awards. The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. OCT 05	The US Senate Youth Program Scholarship Open to high school juniors and seniors with leadership experience who plan to pursue a career in public service. The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is an intensive, week-long educational experience and scholarship sponsored by the Hearst Foundations and the United States Senate for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service. High school juniors and seniors may qualify to apply through leadership positions they currently hold per the USSYP official criteria for the current academic year. The US Senate Youth Program Scholarship will open annually in August. How to Qualify Be a junior or senior in a Montana public, private, or charter high school. Hold a leadership position for the entire school year, representing a constituency in any one of the following student government, civic, or educational organizations. OCT 08	The AES Scholarship This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility. Purpose of Scholarships AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education. Scholarship Criteria We believe that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criterion for determining who deserves to be helped. OCT 15	SHAPE America Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship A $1,000 scholarship open to any college sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a health education degree Eligibility The award is open to any student officially recognized as an undergraduate school-based health education major at an accredited college/university in the United States or a U.S. territory. To be eligible, the applicant must be currently enrolled full-time (12 hours) at a college or university for both the fall and spring semesters of the academic year during which the student is applying. The student must have sophomore, junior or senior status at the time of application. The Elk's National Foundation Most Valuable Student scholarship is open to high school seniors who are: Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply. DEC 18	Equitable Excellence Scholarship (100) $5,000 scholarships open to current high school seniors. To support students throughout their academic journeys, Equitable will provide 100 $5,000 annual scholarships that will be renewed each academic year for four years, for a total of $20,000 per recipient. Applicants to the Equitable Excellence Scholarship® Program must: Be current high school seniors and current undergraduates in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year. JUN 30	P.E.O Marj Keaton-Margie Mullen Scholarship $1,200 scholarship open to college sophomore or junior women registered to attend MSU Bozeman This scholarship, called the Marj Keaton/Margie Mullen Scholarship, is typically offered for $1200. This amount can fluctuate based on additional income our organization raises or individual donations. The two women that this scholarship honors were venerable contributors to Bozeman education, each serving the community on the Bozeman Board of Education during their lifetime. Margie Mullen also served as a Mortar Board advisor at MSU. Specific criteria for this scholarship are: 1. Must be a registered MSU Bozeman student with a 2.5 GPA 2. Must be a sophomore or junior 3. Must demonstrate financial need, and display attributes of citizenship and character (e.g., volunteerism, campus involvement) 4. Must include a cover letter.
